I'm not so sure how obvious this is to everyone but I've noticed that we seem to have a lot of posting new members recently but they havent posted on the mailing list. Maybe they don't want to join, but I think that it's more likely that they don't know about it, as the place to join is hidden away somewhere on the About page.
Would it be possible to add a "join the mailing list" link in the News bar up there ^ ?

I mean that quite a few new people will only look at the main page once, and then just bookmark the bbs, I recall Flux didn't even realise there was a mailing list until about a year later.
