The article "Hoping for the worst" pasted today by Joe Dees in the "Evolution and Memetics" section is a political article about an "anti-war journalist" who "wants to see more Iraqis die" and "the Iraq war to fail" so that G.W.Bush loses the elections.
I ask that it is removed from the "Evolution and Memetics" section because there is an issue of defending the value of the BBS. After that, perhaps Joe Dees can post it properly in the Politics section.
The article is about the 'professional' propagation of memes that do not reflect the Iraqi experience of the insulated-from-the-country 'journalists' who write them, but rather their homegrown political prejudices. It is a stark reminder that sometimes 'reporters' have not ventured out in order to see anything to report, but are rather wishful desire fiction writers who are self-secluded, even if technically on location. I also do not see what Rhino's immediately previous post, "why everyone is not a torturer", has to do with evolution, although it does have something to do with memetics (the influence of the opinion of trusted others), as does mine.

The article "Why everyone is not a torturer", about the Stanford prison experiment and the related BBC experiment, posted by me may be examined as well, of course. It goes without saying that whatever action is taken or not taken will affect the way I use or value the BBS myself.

I see. You can find some more posts containing triggerwords in the "Philosophy and Religion" section when you have the time, including one of mine about "the rupture".
