First of all, anyone giving her parents a rough time need to get over themselves. If she was determined, well prepared and knew what she was doing I see no reason why her parents couldn't responsibly support her in this endeavor.

Secondly . . . she's a real hottie! I know . . . so inappropriate of me, but if she lived next door to me, I'd be decent enough to wait until she was old enough to vote before asking her on a date, of course.

excerpt:

Quote:
Australian environmentalist and yachtsman Ian Kiernan said the teenager's adventure was irresponsible.

''I don't know what she's doing in the … ocean as a 16-year-old in the middle of winter,'' he told Sky News.

''It's just foolhardy. The sea respects no person. We need adventures for sure, but adventurers … do foolhardy things and put their potential rescuers at risk.''
