This makes me wonder: have we ever considered adding a comic book section to the Book List we have here at Virus? Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes both seem to be likely candidates for such a listing if one was ever created.
They are especially effective at introducing memes friendly to our cause to people who are not yet willing to read non-fiction or even serious fiction extensively, or those who are just beggining to be introduced to the Viran Virtues.
I think this could be a very good idea, what do you think?
Awaiting your response, Atheist Crusader

I'm not sure if there is enough material to warrant a new category. I do appreciate the Far Side, I'm a big fan, but I'm not sure what it has to do with the CoV. Maybe it is so obvious I'm missing it :-)

Well, much like Calvin and Hobbes, the Far Side comic gives a mind-warping perspective on life, which aids people both in rational thinking and can introduce very complicated topics to small children. My dad used to show me Far Side comics when I was a little kid, and it caused me to think about things much more, sometimes just so that I could get the joke.
I believe it could be a powerful tool in introducing people to our cause. While it does not have anything to do with the CoV specifically, I believe it is a good place to start people down the path toward us.
As always, respectfully, Atheist Crusader

I so see what is meant by suggesting 'Far Side'... however, I think I will wait to dump the meme that I would use to explain it till we start several other conversations about application.

I think that when an individual reaches the "so what?" stage, that is the point at which the mind begins to open wider to the possibilities of non-dogmatic self-governing systems (such as Virus).
