Joe, Have you EVER considered that these divisive geopolitical issues that we discuss on occasion (well, exclusively in your case), are complex datasets and very problematic with regard to resolution?
Kinda like the rich, tropical equatorial band around our planet relative to the polar regions.
Do you ALWAYS have to stand on the geographical north pole politically? Don't you get COLD up there all alone? Have you EVER considered the advantages of having some "jungle-booty" with the rest of us?
Come down out of the cold sometimes and join us. It's fun. It's warm. It's a rich place. Mix it up.
We're all gonna end up looking like Samoans in a few thousand years anyway.
Respectfully,
Walter

We all tend to present our own opinions on these things - including me, a= nd I did not reach my opinions, which are not simple or absolutist, but are = in fact complex and nuanced, in the absence of exhaustive study and analysis= , over multiple years. if you mean by that remark that I only change my opinions when such chang= e is logically and factually warranted, I heartily accept the compliment; i= f you mean that I refuse to change my opinions even when facts and logic dictate that I should, I equally heartily reject the insult. On this iss= ue (the War on Islamofascist terrorism), the geopolitical map has shifted somewhat, but the ideological issues in contention (a conglomerate of participatory constitutional democracies with basic human rights, freedom= of and from religion, and gender equality versus a global monoreligious-mandating fundamentalist theocracy, administered according = to a sexist and brutal shar'ia law) remain the same, and it does not seem to= me that the facts will not appreciably change for some time. It will be a globally contested yet lukewarm war (sometimes hot, sometimes cold) of lo= ng duration (probably as long as half a century), punctuated by intermittent terror attacks and regime changes.=0D =0D -------Original Message-------=0D =0D From: virus@lucifer.com=0D Date: 06/16/04 13:12:57=0D To: virus@lucifer.com=0D Subject: Re:virus: Joe Dees Invitation=0D =0D That's one of the things I love about you, Joe.=0D =0D You are true to yourself!!!=0D =0D Regardless of the dynamic nature of the world.=0D =0D =0D =0D Walter=0D =0D ----=0D This message was posted by Walter Watts to the Virus 2004 board on Church= of Virus BBS.=0D <http://virus.lucifer.com/bbs/index.php?board=3D61;action=3Ddisplay threadid=3D30533>=0D ---=0D To unsubscribe from the Virus list go to <http://www.lucifer.com/cgi-bin/= virus-l>
