I have recently posted several articles on the Science and
Technology board of the BBS. These articles, while they have the
study of human sexual mores and folkways as their object, and thus are
indeed scientifically inclined, are not strictly scientific, in the sense of
'hard', technologically driven sciences, such as Physics and Chemistry.
Rather, they would seem to belong more with 'soft' sciences, such as
Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology.
My proposal is to add a new category to the BBS, to be entitled
Society and Culture, in which articles that have the study of human
society and culture as their object could find a home the title of which is
more reflective of their foci and methods.
Constructive criticisms, comments and suggestions are
welcome.
