The Memory Code

Researchers are closing in on the rules that the brain uses
to lay down memories. Discovery of this memory code could
lead to the design of smarter computers and robots and
even to new ways to peer into the human mind

PS--Sorry about the PDF format, but I subscribe to Scientific American Digital (the online version),
and the only way to share the articles that are either too long, have a lot of graphics, or both, is to
link you to the actual pdf file.

Shorter articles without a lot of graphics I will gladly cut and paste the text into the post, but it's not
always feasible.

Soon as I find a good PDF to HTML converter for the Mac, I will post them in HTML.

Very interesting article.

re converision, I have some clever Linux programs that help me do this, but you might simply google for the pdf document on your own site, and then view it as html. I fear that there will likely be serious challenges with labels in images, where I have found that simple conversion to png or svg (depending on content) can give the best results. i.e. text as text and images as clipped image files usually works for me. :-)

Kind Regards

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg, 1999
