You're completely right about that. I think people who see it as a threat, don't even realize that they maybe won't have a choice but will have to use electronic or other techniques to save their lives, for example when they suffer a heart attack and need a pacemaker.
I think that electronics and technology will be integrated more and more in our bodies. There are pro's and con's of course - technology surely can make mistakes, but our body can, too. I think it is not a bad thing to 'transhumanize' people.
this is a great step for humanity... since the evolution of man, he's been trying to cheat death by medicines, drugs or whatever... so why not integrate machines in our bodies if it ultimately serves the same purpose - to cheat death!
