Dear Sebby,
I would be delighted to round off your moms collection! I will e-mail you when I get back if I have managed to find one (or steal it from some swanky Keralan hotel!)
Kind regards

...Jonathan...i know this may seem imposing, but if you could keep your eye out for a shotglass (maybe at the airport?) that says "india" or some such thing on it, denoting it's origin in someway, i would be overjoyed to reimburse you upon your return. my mother has a shotglass collection of this sort and so far lacks india somehow. and no, my momma aint slammin' jacks down...she averages about 3 glasses of wine a year, but that is her collection so there ya go;)
...if you cant swing it or forget, no worries. thanks for considering it at least:)

My comment was that our government rounded up members of the Bin Laden family during the flight lockdown and flew them to DC. They were then flown to Paris after the ban was lifted. Never mentioned a conspiracy, just clearing up facts.
On another note, is there anything going on at home or in your personal life that you might want to share with us? It often helps put perspective on things when you share them with new people. --- To unsubscribe from the Virus list go to <http://www.lucifer.com/cgi-bin/virus-l>

[meta] Small correction: members of the bin Laden family in addition to other Saudi Arabians who feared for their lives called the appropriate agencies after the explosions and requested to be moved to a safe location. The government didn't take it upon itself to round them up. (Sarcasm: since when does the USG do anything without a kick in the ass?)

[meta] Not really. My college semester literally just ended. I'm going to a lot more parties now. Having a good time. More respect from friends and acquaintances, and there's this girl I'm after. Oh, and I'm trying to kick my ass into gear to start building a home gym, workout, get buff, and cut so I can feel more confident about myself when flirting with the girl.

Kalkor (from whom, sadly, we have not heard much lately) seems to be quite an expert on these matters.
Here in SA we have many infomercials extolling the virtues of innovative home gym equipment but six months later all the second-hand shops are stuffed with dusty buns-busters, ab-flexors, air-walkers and similar.
An interesting lesson in marketing and consumerism - seemingly people are happy to spend their money on these devices, abandon them and them go out and buy yet other devices only to abandon those in turn.
There's gold in them thar hills!*
Best Regards

[metahuman] The best and last site you'll ever need regarding working out and making the most of your body:
http://www.abcbodybuilding.com/
From one of the articles on building a personal gym....
Rule #1: You must deadlift. Rule #2: You must squat. Rule #3: You must bench. Rule #4: You must engage in maximal effort training. Rule #5: You must engage in dynamic effort training. Rule #6: You must utilize accommodating resistance principles. Rule #7: You must do heavy abs for your core. Rule #8: You must lift in a compound manner. Rule #9: You must utilize constant variation. Rule #10: You must do Olympic lifts. Rule #11: No whining.
Build your gym and construct a routine with those rules in mind. Then execute the routine.

Thanks to the Mermaid's Virian boot camp I have become something of a gym creature - those endorphins totally rock - but I needed more expert info, which thanks to you, I now have. Best Regards

[Michelle] Kalkor's busy with school but I'm an exercise buff myself... FREE WEIGHTS! FREE WEIGHTS! Sadly most people are not motivated enough to watch a miniseries in its entirety, let alone follow through on a lifelong commitment to their health.
Most of the "innovative" stuff is total crap, and that's why people stop using it. It's marketed in a way that makes people think that it will do the focusing and thinking for them, which is why it does not work. In my opinion after years of hard work, the true benefit of exercise comes only when it's used to improve your mind-body connection, which requires concentration and observation. A quiet place, if you will.
I'm always reminded of and motivated by a post of Walter's from years back where he gave virian points to a healthy life and one of them was "remember to exercise every day so your brain remembers it's attached to a living body". Or something like that. You get the principle.
In addition, the only form of exercise that actually grants measurable health improvement and longevity benefits is weight training. What I've heard and read indicates that growing new muscle stimulates the body to release HGH and therefore fight ageing in all its forms. Other types of exercise, particularly "aerobic" exercise, requires so much faith and commitment... the results go away if you don't maintain on at least a weekly basis... the gratification is minor unless you are also following a diet plan and see cosmetic changes, or take up an endurance sport to use your new aerobic capacity...
I'm full of opinions if you'd like any more.
 Michelle
