That's Bruce J. Klein of the immortality institute, or BJKlein.
We fumbled around for a topic for the first few minutes, started talking
about whether people should have a "right" to breed, and then Bruce came in
and gave a great performance on immortality. His approach to the issue is
dynamic optimism, which is a very goal/purpose driven rationalist approach.
He was very responsive to questions as was OmniDo who was very helpful on the
issues despite a little bit of ribbing from me :-). We had a lively chat as
usual which as I remember lasted the whole hour and a little beyond in
winding down. Several of us, chastised Bruce for irrational exuberance on
the issues, as well as for dragging concepts of eternity into it, but at the
end of the day he didn't let us bastards get him down and played very well to
the end.
