Greetings all.

A new member has come 

I am extremly pleased to have found this board of what I hope is a fine assembly of agnositcs and atheists.

Now for the formal introduction 

My name is Rune i was born in 1978 in Aarhus, Denmark.
I was born a protestant, but since Danish people have a very relaxed attitude towards religion (my perants where no exeption) I have never at any point in my life belived in god. For the largest part of my life i have considerd myself to be an atheist, but a few years back i came to the conclution, that to persume to know the existanse or non existanse of god is arrogant and bars the way for an open discussion with those who DO believe in god (taking the middle ground sometimes helps not turning a discussion into an argument). I acsept that I don't know if there is a god and if there is I don't know what he/she/it is.

In 1998 I was drafted for the danish army I wolunteerd for service in Bosnia in 1999 and for Kossovo in 2001. Spending time in the middle of theese religious wars has left me overflowing with contempt for organised religion.

Presently I am attending VUC (sort of an advanced High school for adults)
I plan to study religious science when i graduate, so I can help prove to everyone that the god/gods in the Bible, the Tora and the Koran are phantoms of the distant past. Not that this has not been proven time and time again, but it is obviouly it is not enough and for some people nothing will be enough. But the fight must go on.
