I feel strongly that 2 is the better approach, because

a) people who are susceptible to hate memes do not generally look deeply enough to be talked out of them. This seems to be just a fact of life.

b) We have not even established that hate can only come from fallacious reasoning, unless we have Empathy as an axiom superceding reasoning in the sense that the reasoning starts with the axioms. (Maybe somebody can establish it; I have not seen that yet.)

c) I think I meme-complex around the golden rule and complementary concepts can be built using parables and other means that is totally convincing.

a) If that is the case, the 2nd approach won't work either.

b) I don't see how that is relevant. No one claimed that hate can only come from fallacious reasoning.

c) Same as a) If they can't be talked out their hate memes, what are parables going to do?

Irrationalism is always logical, but is still founded upon logic, the laws of maths, for example: phobias of animals, even when encaged a logically accumulated system of memetics and genetics (based on statistical averages) can subconsciously call people into erratic acts, e.g. running away from a caged animal.

I believe all art is logical, but its logic is often hard to extract. Esthetics can be calculated, don't forget the human mind is a computer; beauty is a set of digital idealisms. Art can seem illogical, often it is deliberately random, sometimes accidental, and for different reasons, but randomness has certain meams to portray in conjunction with more memes derived from artistic worx.

Unreason must be understood, if you wish to control irrational people too.

Quote:
Concerning the subject of art, could it not be said that art falls under the category of empathy? Much of the art in the world was created because of the artist's attempts to understand a feeling, whether specifically confined to one person or whether they were attempting to understand the feeling in general.

Art is a meme transport, and yes it can be used to figure things out, same as notes can be written of paper or as math calculations can be written down to communicate and exercise different elements of concepts together (self-communication) in the brain. Self-communication is like localized, self-owned memetics, like 'your ideas' or thinking - your brain can be the most local memeplex, I  guess art is a form or this.
