Well, here's another one: Carl Sagan's Cosmos. This series goes over a lot of astronomy, and touches on other sciences. I personally think that Sagan sounds daft when he talks about aliens, but i know many a scientist likes the idea. I don't want to ruin the party by pointing out that not only our generation but as far as i can see into the future there will be no contact (despite his great fiction movie by that name which deserves its own post in another topic) with any aliens or other stars. However when Sagan gently kicks astrology's ass with his simple comparison experiment i grinned and paid my Sagan dues. I know Dawkins thinks he was overly mourned, or i recall that in some publication of his, but i do think he deserves homage.
What did you think?
