I am testing out this new Panasonic net security camera. This seems like a great test groups as you are all over the world and comp savvy. It's got pan / tilt, presets, all the stuff you need for a cool camera to work online. Since I am only a hop of two away, I can't really test it, so I was hoping some of you would take the time to log onto the camera, play with it a little, and let me know how it looks.

This should give you camera control. You will need IE and mpeg4. What will you see? A piece of my office - not too exciting. Sorry bout that.

Where is Bill's camera when we really need it?
The Odd Ball Report [pub@atozinthemail.com] === Police Hunt Naked Hiker
LONDON (Reuters) - Worried police are searching for a naked rambler who has been enjoying the sights along a famous British walking trail wearing only a floppy hat and a pair of hiking boots, the Times newspaper reported Tuesday. The man has startled other ramblers on several occasions in the past fortnight during his walks in the Yorkshire Dales in northern England, where he has been seen at several points on the 270-mile Pennine Way.
During one sighting, the rambler -- described as in his late 30s, of athletic build and sporting an all- over tan -- was reported to have said a cheerful "good afternoon" to a woman.
On another occasion he obligingly covered up, temporarily, after a male passer-by told him to put some clothes on.
Acting Chief Inspector Tadeusz Nowakowski, who is leading the hunt, said the mystery rambler could face charges of outraging public decency.
"These incidents might be quite tame, but the police are taking them seriously due to the distress they have clearly caused to the public," the Times quoted Nowakowski as saying.
"Imagine if your wife was stuck up on her own in the Dales, having her sandwiches and a bit of a nap when suddenly this man comes bumbling around the corner," Nowakowski said.
What, one has to ask oneself, precisely is Nowakowski worried about? An unfavourable comparison? That the average 'wife' is likely to lose all self-control at the sight of a man who has an 'athletic build'? That he might seize her sandwiches?
The sight of Blunderov stumbling around naked in the woods would be genuine grounds for grievance I concede, but this fellow appears to be making a positive contribution to scenic potential of the area.
I'm mystified.

Hunt for nude rambler ends
A naked rambler sighted on some of Britain's most famous walking trails has broken cover and revealed it was his ambition to walk the length of the country in the nude.
Steve Gough made headlines earlier this week when police in northern England reported several sightings of a rambler wearing nothing but his boots, a rucksack and a floppy hat.
Gough, 44, an unemployed truck driver, told the Times newspaper he was blazing a trail against antiquated British indecency laws and establishment attitudes.
"Every pioneer is criticised for putting their head above the parapet, but this is something that I believe in and I think a lot of the public do too," he was quoted as saying in the today's Times.
His clothes-free journey from Cornwall in southwest England to northern Scotland has so far earned him 11 escorts to police stations, five arrests, two charges and a night in a psychiatric hospital, the Times said.

While I do think the story is humerous - you havn't answered my question.
How's the camera look - and how well does the control work?
Thanks.

It worked very well. At 640x480 it was too slow to finish drawing a frame before starting a new one, but at qvga and qqvga I was getting a few fps. I believe I saw you discussing a document entitled House of Worship with a man in a blue golf shirt. What's up with that? The presets didn't work very well afaict, but clicking in the pan/tilt area between the arrows worked well.

Thanks a bunch David.
Whats with the House of Worship? Well, I am fortunate enough to design and build most of the Church - Temple - Mosque sound systems in town. Houe of Worship is a trade mag of Church A/V systems that focuses on how to present the spoken word. It's good business - and the people are friendly and easy to deal with. They do however, in all my experiences, fit every possible stereotype. The Church people are friendly, but usually try to convert me - but not always. The Temple work is always tough because they attack you on pricing and then complain about strange things. But in general they are ok. I have not done a Mosque myself, there are only a couple in town and they were done before my return.
The Guy in the golf shirt - kinda stocky - that's my younger brother. He introduced me the CoV 6 years ago.
I'll set up some presets - and anyone wanting to get into the network functions - let me know and I'll get you the pass for it.
Thanks again

Thanks Metahuman for the test!

Hi Bill,
It is 10:32 BST and I am unable to spy on your office because I cannot connect to 66.1.165.175 . Have you stopped the test?
Regards
Jonathan

Sorry, I left the cam on, but I forgot that my personal hub was on a breaker that gets shut off at night. It's back up now and I'll be there soon.
Thanks brother Jonathan, and please try again.
Bill
