i'm currently in the process of writing a book, something that i have been meaning o do for a while now. it's not going to be some big long novel of anything like that, nor will it be a self help book of any of that useless crap.
have you ever noticed that philosophy books as of late have been rare to find (modern philosophers that is) and when they can be found, they seem to be devoid of all personality whatsoever? as though a computer wrote it. you find a lot less philosophy in those books, and a lot more logical proofs. not to say that logical proofs are a bad thing, i rather like and enjoy logical proofs and truth tables, and trying to discredit an arguement based solely on the proof, but that isn't enough.
philosophy used to be an art, not a science. sure a lot of philosophers of the old style and context (kant, nietzsche, plato, spinoza, locke, etc) had a bit here and there that they would leave un explained and un- defended, with little to no proof whatsoever, but those books were a lot more interesting to read than anything i have found in modern philosophy.
as of my current status, i'm writing the book and looking for potential publishers. it will porbably end up being published by feral books, or avon books or bantam. but the possibilities are great. so far i'm going to just say that the title will be "The Artisan" but that of course is subject to change. mostly it is a collection of it is a collectiong of observations, aphorisms and the such that i lengthed out and explain. (all the aphorisms and observations are mine unless otherwise noted.)
i'm ven going to polish up an essay that i wrote a while back and throw that in there. it's meant to be a sort of "all purpose" philosophy book. i touch on politics, psychology, sociology, science, stupidity, religion, theology (a bit different than religion), ecomnomics and quite a bit of other stuff too.
well, i'll keep anyone informed about this endevor of mine that wants to be kept informed. so if you want to be kept informed, speak up. until then, i must be off to work for now.

Sound like a fine book in the making! Bets of luck with it and I hope we will all be getting a hefty discount when it is published.
