Lucifer

Lucifer is the King James Version rendering of the Hebrew word in Isaiah 14:12.[1] This word, transliterated heylel, occurs only once in the Hebrew Bible and according to the KJV-influenced Strong's Concordance means "shining one, morning star, Lucifer".[2] The word Lucifer is taken from the Latin Vulgate,[3] which translates as lucifer,[4][5] meaning "the morning star, the planet Venus" (or, as an adjective, "light-bringing").[6] The Septuagint renders in Greek as (heōsphoros),[9][10][11] a name, literally "bringer of dawn", for the morning star.[12] Kaufmann Kohler says that the Greek Septuagint translation is "Phosphoros".[3]

Refer also FAQ: Why Lucifer
And from elsewhere in the Universe:
[F]ind a "red letter bible" (that's one of those where everything that the imaginary-jesus-god-man-thingie is alleged to have said is printed in red, in order to make it easier for people who have trouble reading polysyllabic words to figure out which bits are supposedly really, really important.
Turn to the last page. Look for Revelations 22:16. See, it is in *Red* i.e. Jesus speaking. What does he allegedly say? 16 "I, Jesus did send my messenger to testify to you these things concerning the assemblies; I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star!"
Ok, so "Jesus", the "son of god" is the "morning star", aka Venus, aka "Lucifer", "the light bearer", by the Romans.
With me so far?
Now use a concordance to search the bible for "morning star" to see who this is. Or do it online, it's easier. Here, I've done it for you, http://www.biblegateway.com/quicksearch/?quicksearch=morning+star&qs_version=NIV.
Notice that in every other instance, the "morning star" is "the devil", "Lucifer", the fallen "sons of god" (plural!) and so on, depending on the translation.
So "Jesus" is "the devil" - or something.
Apparently somebody was off message somewhere. Isn't bible study fun.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion. - Steven Weinberg, 1999

The first one put me in mind of purity bricks (See Louis CK learns about the Catholic Church)
The second is of course Monty Python worthy material along the lines of the School Assembly scene in their glorious work, The Meaning of Life. (See Meaning of Life, Growth and Learning, School Assembly).
