Keep in mind it is difficult to get a rating lower than 4.

Stop the madness--But I want it on record I think we should have a "Disreputable Forum" to archive the occasional outburst of genius from these marginals

I like Walter's idea - there should be a forum for disreputable posters because they do, at times, offer beautiful gems to this community.

I do not wish to make it so anyone cannot post. We shouldn't censor others... yet I have no other good answer for the current problem.

Anyone should *want* to post without being embarrassed to be seen here.

Why would anyone want to limit the flow of ideas? To ignore requires minimal self-discipline. Speaking of discipline, there are other actions to keep undesirables from posting if they've abused it. Right?

Anyone should be able to post but what we need is a method for individual members to be able to filter posts based on user name, reputation, etc.

I vehemently disagree with what Walter Watts said, but he’s right.  ;)

even the disreputable people occasionaly make good points (having a "mute" option per user is a good idea)
Hermitall but the globally despised - 2
only highly respected members - 7
In an ideal world each member would create their own forum. In "their" forum they can select either on a poster or a per post basis. Posts and posters carried by many subforums would automagically appear on the main site. Until then "Walter's solution".
