I am Jordan Brocious of the Utah area. I hope to become somewhat active in the postings of this community.
In response to your comment about the lack of proof of a god's non-existence, I found an applicable quote from someone more articulate than myself:
"An atheist doesn't have to be someone who thinks he has a proof that there can't be a god. He only has to be someone who believes that the evidence on the God question is at a similar level to the evidence on the werewolf question." -John McCarthy
I do not know if this was covered in the intervening replies because I only read a few...

Hey, what aren't you folks posting your introductions in my Introduction thread on the CoV email list, hmmm? Maybe we need a 'new member' category on list of forums or something?
