Dear Fellows,
I scanned and ORCed this chapter for your enjoyment. It is about the power of images and the damage that violent images can inflict on your brain.
"More Images Than Ever: Is It Destabilizing Our Brains? "
So far we have explored how high-performing people work to improve their brains' powers of concentration and focus and how modern life is affecting the demands placed on our brain. But the brain is concerned with more than just logic, efficiency and outstanding performance. The brain is also the seat of fears, prejudices and other negative emotions. Recent research points to potentially harmful effects on the brain brought on by exposure to media images of horror and mayhem. Such depictions, it's turning out, activate the same brain areas involved in the feeling and expressing of real-life emotions. In order to understand the relationship between disturbing images and emotional arousal, it's helpful to say a few words about emotional processing within the brain.

I'd imagine that is exactly the point....visual imagery is a powerful propaganda tool..it is also a great way to spread memes...

Thanks for posting this. I presume it's not the whole chapter, though, since it ends mid-sentence.
