interesting game concepts

I noticed in another post Jake mentioned a surplus of uninspired (or at least unoccupied) programers. I would love to see people tackle a range of game ideas. They all would fall under the category of retesselation. There are a lot of different ways that regular polygons can fill a board. the easiest (non square) one is hexagonal. Checkers, chess, stratego, chinese checkers, minesweeper, and dots can be changed in this way.
So there's that.
