If you are really curious, I say go for it! Actually I'm sorta curious myself now that you brought it up. Something about being my own lab animal. I'd really be a bit concerned about someone else getting the results, but if you've thought about all of that and still want to do it, I of course encourage it. I'd be interested to hear about your experiences in doing so - whatever part of it you feel comfortable sharing. I may try it one day, especially if I ever get around to cloning myself.

Too expensive and slow currently for such shenanigans, but this did bring to mind for me the movie Gattaca. More specifically the scene where people are sneakily bringing their would-be suitor's hair, spit, whatever genetic material to a lab for testing as to partner suitability.

to be honest, my only concern is how this will work against me if the health insurance folks will use it against me..this is the united states of america, afterall.
eta: i might actually want to procreate without doubt if i dont see anything scary in it. it has got me all excited. but there is also the element of cautiousness..i am afraid what i might see...but overall, i want to go for it. but i have to confess, there is tremendous familial resistance to the idea. i am truly torn.
