The Riddle of Epicurus
« on: 2005-11-20 15:53:37 » |
|
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
I didn't put any reference because it's impossible to tell what is the first or the original...

There are of course many standard responses to the Problem of Evil but I think all of them fail. I agree that God as commonly defined is logically incoherent and therefore cannot exist in this or any other possible world.

This is probably one of the best, I mean proponent of the answer to the problem of evil. I should read it with care... just because it's worth.
