[Hermit]perhaps you would like to find an earlier source for this ridiculous
Vedic PI encoding.
[Mermaid]I dont have to, Hermit. Because I dont believe there is a 'secret
code'. I dont believe Vedic Mathematics is about Pi. I dont think the dating
of the 'Pi ode' is relevant. I dont see anything religious in this whole
exercise and even if there is, it is Yash's ghost to exorcise. I dont see
him preaching religion. I dont acknowledge any presence that imposes
anything religious on us. There are no spectres here to torture intellect.
It's not our ghosts. Not yours and not mine<You KNOW that I am not 'godly'
nor am I seeking some kind of psychic or spiritual solace...but still you
thought it right to bring it up in an attack..but thats another story and
reaffirms my opinion that noone can be trusted>. What I see here is a
potential avenue to explore the magic of numbers. What I see in you is an
obstruction to the pursuit of knowledge.
[Mermaid]Numbers, Hermit. Dont you remember the joy of exploring? Dont you
remember the pleasure of reading...simply for the sake of reading? The smell
of old books? The crispy, biscuity edges of papers that crumble in your
fingers as your turn the pages. Dont you remember how the printed letters
swim around, disperse and then realign to form ideas in your mind? Dont you
remember how we were? Do you not remember how the speed of your thoughts
raced the limited ability of your eyes to soak up on the pages as much as
possible? Do you not remember midnights? When did you grow up to be such a
bitter, jaded old man? When did we lose each other?
