A term meaning artifical lifeform. The theory behind it is an elaboration of the principles of strong AI that predict the evolution of sentient artiifical lifeforms. One particular thread to this theory is the likelihood of issues of rights arising in the same manner that they have amongst differing human groups existing in conditions of inequality.
