Yes. I would say that you are right.

I am constantly amazed by the diverse groups of people who are attracted
to memetics and come to it with a body of knowledge to which it applies.

There are skeptics (like XYZ) who would say that this is pop science and
a fluffy fad, but I honstly believe memetics is one of those disciplines
that can hold a lot of ideas. Which makes it good and useful.

Look at all the people memetics brings together-- scientists,
mathematicians, artists, writers, sociologists....

How can one guffaw at something that brings so many ideas together
rather "specializing" us into ever smaller and smaller groups?
