i too, fail to see why "faith" is necessary for life, or as yoou put it:

Why is "faith" necessary? in my case, i was raised by Atheists, and
cannot think of an instance, ever, where I thought of "faith" as good or
necessary. (Except in the way Marie used to associate "faith" with
"Loyalty")
