What, exactly, do I have to agree to? I think I understand your
position reletively well. I'm a scientist, I encourage people to
approach life from a logical and rational perspective. As I
see it, this discussion is entirely about <faith> as a meme, not
the viruses which have made use of that element. I am an
athiest, rejecting the <faith>-<God> complex. But I do not
believe it is possible to live without <faith> of some sort.
Furthermore, my purpose is not to encourage people to think
like me...but to encourage people to be happier and more
comfortable with their own decisions and beliefs. Myself,
I think I'm a pretty reasonable person. But I know from
honest conversations with people that I trust that I am
ideosyncratic and incredibly stubborn. David, I would
not accept the eucharist from a catholic priest because
I don't believe in transubstantiation...I feel you are asking
me to agree to something similarly incomprehensible.

But perhaps I'm misinterpreting you.

Reed
