Yesterday a man was convicted of murder in the 2nd degree for
killing his daughter (who was inflicted with severe cerebral
palsy) to put an end to her unending and incurable suffering.
Under the Canadian legal code his minimum sentence is ten
years without possibility of parole.

Is this reasonable? If not, what should happen in similar cases?
