Eric's eyes decieve him. I am talking a *metaphysic* of doubt, not a social
justification for it. Of course, truth can exist in the quiet person who is
not sure, it could also exist in the fanatic who has no doubt. But, ideally
truth contains no contradiction...and therefore no doubt (except that doubt
is either a Platonic form or a self-justified negation of truth--the second
being just as true in the negative form as the positive). While I will
accept the Platonic form and/or the self-justified form as arguments against
my statement--with support--I will not accept the social justification!
