OK, I did the experiment and she thought that mentioning only two reasons
to remain faithful implied that those are the only reasons (which certainly
isn't true).

I fail to see why her reaction one way or the other has any bearing on
the question of whether logic can be usefully applied to human relationships.
It certainly isn't very romantic to talk to your partner about it
analytically, if that is your point (it was never mine). If that wasn't
your point, what is?
