PS:
And Beethoven's Fifth Symphony (from p. 31 of VotM) exists only in the minds
of the listeners. Human beholders only or orangutans will do too? Will
other animals suffice to keep the Fifth Symphony in existence?

When I read Richard's posts a meme-question keeps beholding my mind:

Who wrote Brodie's "Virus of the Mind"?

>Richard would answer that question by saying that patterns exist only in
>the mind of the beholder. This is easily demonstrated by showing people
>drawings that can be interpreted several ways (see Goedel Escher Bach).
