I suppose it'd be redundant to quote Clarke's Law on a list like this
one... (However, Clarke's Law is a great example of a "compressed"
meme-complex -- that tiny little aphorism contains lots of assumptions
about what technology and magic are and how they relate... And it's not
quite as open to interpretation as A=A...)
