I find that Dawkins's and Brodie's definitions make sense and are a good
basis for discussing the phenomenon. I have rephrased the definition of a
meme in my own way on several occasions, but not in such a way that it
changed which phenomenon we're talking about. Changing theories is very
different from changing definitions.
