A valuable study upon this line would be *animal* to human memetic
transference.
We do see examples of it in current media. "Stupid Human Tricks", the
wearing of animalia fashion such as collars and leashes (interesting
meme - human>animal>human), polls about what percentage of the
population have the ability perform auto-fellatio, etc.

Although not fashionable at this time, it is quite possible to learn
from animals. I myself was quite surprised to realize that I could
learn something useful from an iguana. It happened that we were living
in the back of an open pickup truck headed for Washington DC, and I had
the leisure time to observe and adapt to its rate of doing things.
I suspect that much of what they have to teach is instinctive
behavior. This usually means that it is successful behavior. Unless
you start passing it on to your friends it may not properly be memetic.
