This campaign as described reminds me of the "OK" soda campaign, which was
run several years ago with my former hometown in its test market. Their
TV commercials, posters, and print ads all had a quirky, ironic feel, and
their premise was "this soda is OK". The packages had apparently random,
yet strangely amusing, text and images. My friends and I were both
alarmed and excited that someone seemed to have figured out how to capture
the attention of our particular demographic group. Of course, what they
latched onto, that cynical humor and collage approach to design, is pretty
standard now, so I guess everybody else has figured it out.

Eva,
who tried the soda once. It was OK.
