I think there's plenty of cases where opposite-of-rational thoughts are good
or useful. EG bouncing yoruself out of ruts, making art, pissing around...

Unless you define "rational" ideas as ideas which are "adaptive in context,"
which is a definition that's different to mine- which would be "rational
ideas are ideas that follow from quasi-logical reasoning, or from
causal-type reasoning".
