I think everyone here realizes that memetics as a worldview is a tool,
but there is nothing "just" about it. Is the computer "just" a tool? Is the
internet "just" a new form of media? Are humans "just" another animal?
You seem to be implying that there is nothing important or special about it.

I don't see much ode-singing going on, just a lot of discussion trying to
figure out what memetics is and how it can be used. And as for building
the house, what makes you think we're not?
