When someone as bright and careful of diction as Eva writes something
that you consider useless, it might be an excellent opportunity for you
to learn something by figuring out why she thought it was useful.

I admire your commitment, but people have been accomplishing things
forever without any kind of consciousness about meaning. I think
commitment to a goal is far more useful in bringing about action.
