Most psychological research can be interpreted in the way I suggest,
but a specific one that speaks directly to the issue:
Macneil and Sherif (1976) Norm change over subject generations as a
function of arbitrariness of prescribed norms, Journal of Personality and

I think (but don't remeber) that what I was saying is that whoever has
the power (scientific power or other) determines what reality is for most
everyone else.
A very thoughtful post sean, I guess my ideas aren't as clearly worked
out as I would like to think (you have changed my individual tendency
ever so slightly). I would like to hear more of hullian psychology--its
a new term to me.
