Hi y'all.

I haven't posted for a long time, but I've been trying to keep up in the
reading.

I went down to Jar 3's workshop on Feb. 13.

Many of you may be happy (or not) to know that Richard actually does
exist. I saw him with my own eyes.

His workshop was delightful, Richard is a very animated and energetic
speaker and he manages to turn people on to thinking about things like
evolutionary psychology and memetics without a lot of jargon and
alienation. Well done Richard.

But the point of Richard's "Getting Past OK" work is not memetics, it's
about having a better life. Now, for those of you whose memetic filters
are screaming "self-help-guru-alert", let me first say that Richard does
does not come across as a guru, he focusses people without telling them
what to think, which I have always considered to be the mark of a good
instructor.

It's easy to be a cynic, I myself have a lot of fun with my cynicism--
we make an excellent team-- but the world is full of people who are
willing to tell you what you can't and shouldn't do.

My hat is off to Richard who takes the time to foster a different
message. Well done.
