Excellent article. Much of this stuff is in the book, _Demonic Males: Apes and the Origins of Human Violence_ Richard Wrangham and Dale Peterson. I have been asking people on this board to read this book for 2 years now and I STILL cant get anyone to even look at it! At least the people I have given it to loved it. If anyone gets takes the time to read the book, and it is a fun read, it will help them to understand many of the underpinnings of violent activity in males - an often discussed subject. In short, this book discusses the cultural violent behavior in apes, the genetic benefits of this violence, and the taste for violence that some apes show. It definitely helped me to feel more like the apes we are, I don't know if that is good or bad though.
