It should be noted as well, that Derek's post was in response to Aaron Lynch's statement that memetic taboos against homosexuality would increased genetic prevelence of any homosexual genes. It wouldn't, as the math shows. But that does not mean that homosexual memes could not fill in the gap and account for much of the confussion regarding homosexuality and the nature/nurture question.

With goes back to Kristy's question of abolishing taboos on dress and gender roles. But why would you ever want to?!? In a world where everything is permitted, we'd be robbed of that most wonderful joy--being naughty!
