First topic... to keep the mailing list or not?
I believe that we should pitch it personally, and use/custom code into a BBS system the ability to suscribe to any topic/forum... etc. Also, it would be nice, as Walter suggested, to make it so you can allow or disallow yourself to received e-mails depending on the person who posts the reply.

I agree we should do that, but we will get something just like the mailing list again with a general discussion board on the bbs.

Yes, that was my thought as well. It would work a lot like the current mailing list but give users a LOT more control over what they recieve and what they do not... plus they can suscribe to other boards/topics... which is neat.

I just wanted to add here, that the mailing list, I believe, has returned to a desirable state once again. We're back on the topics of science, memetics, and things that effect the everyday atheist. I love it! This is what the CoV is supposed to be, as far as I'm concerned.

I just want to note, I have not given up on working on an updated system. Tywick has been designing a CMS I've been looking into. Also, the last week has been really busy for me. Hopefully some more of my time will be free in the coming weeks.
