The Scene:

A beautiful, sunny, 72 degree fall Saturday. The husband gets comfy on
the couch to watch his alma mater play a tough opponent in an important
football game.
He is happy as a pig in shit.

[Wife, Out of Nowhere]

"You NEVER do ANYTHING around here to help!"

[Husband, thinking "Oh boy. The old "Fact Trading Game". I'll play.]

"You're fat!"

Walter
Could life get any better?

[Blunderov] Lol. I've passed this one around - never fails to break them
up.

More seriously - words are somewhat like bullets; you can't call them
back very easily. At the risk of causing a storm of protest, my
observation is that, in the battle of the sexes, women are more inclined
to resort to automatic fire than men are. Somewhere in the fine print
there must be provisions to the effect;

A: That women are, after a reasonable period of grace, to be forgiven
for any ill-considered remarks they may have made because male
inattentiveness is the actual root cause of the effect;

B: That you, brother, will not be so absolved - ever. To do so would
simply serve to encourage your innate brutish male inattentiveness. (See
A)

<heads for bunker>

Best Regards
