[quote from Joe Dees on 2004-09-15 at 01:51:59]
>Yes, Jake the Deaniac, silence DOES indicate assent - which is why you, and Casey, and Mermaid, are trying to silence everyone who disagrees with you. Do you see Bill Roh around here any more? What about Jonathan Davis? I guess they finally decided that the stench of the continuing torrent of your hateful and irrational bullshit was too offensive to their cognitive nostrils for them to further linger. It does not matter to you whether or not you are right on the issues - just that you win, like the silverback-wannabe that you are and will perpetually be. And to achieve such a goal, you will use any means at your command - licit or il-, to drive all other competitors away and establish a harem of compliance. You, however, cannot even be a big fish in this small pond, because anyone online can check the facts and see how much of a tinfoil-hatted space cadet you really are. And in the larger, non-insular world that exists, despite your fondest wishes, outside this list,! > your bizarre and nonsensical causes will crumble and fall - mark my words come this November. > > >
Since when did CoV become the Joe Dees Memorial Debating Society?
Since when does every one-sentence political remark that is a Planck length left of center necessitate 10 to 15 3rd party cut & pasted articles to redress said free speech?
Since when do I have to answer to ANYONE for my excercise of free speech?
Since when did incessantly screaming at a voluntarily captive group such as CoV become eligible for free speech protection. Was it the same time that yelling fire in a crowded theater became protected?
Since when did a private organization lose its right to establish keep-the-peace ordinances?
Since when did we define "irrational bullshit" as anything Joe Dees disagrees with?
Since when did the "truth" become part and parcel of the "Joe Dees Worldview"?
Joe, it does not matter to you whether or not you are right on the issues - just that you can flood the list, like the #3 - Strongly Negative Opinion-wannabe that you are and will perpetually be. <hey, this cut & pasting stuff is fun>
And as far as marking your words come this November, YOU haven't spoken any words TO mark. They're always someone elses words.
And it's true, Joe. Shrub MIGHT get re-elected in November.
That, however, does NOT a wise man you make.
A wise man dynamically remaps his worldview onto the truth as it is discovered.
You statically mapped the truth onto your worldview some time ago (past tense).
Respectfully, Walter

I'm responding to this mostly on the "Deaniac" issue since Joe has repeated it so often. In fact I spent my time and money on the Wesley Clark campaign, which many Virians already know. I have never worked for, voted for, or given money to Howard Dean. How Joe ever came to this conclusion eludes me, but it does reaffirm how much he doesn't pay attention. Just to update, currently I am spending my time on a state legislative race that appears a likely Democratic pickup regardless of the presidential race - I'm voting for Kerry but not wasting any further effort on that front since Bush will almost certainly sweep Texas. I really don't know who Joe is talking about in the following passage, but it obviously isn't me . . . perhaps Joe's figment of Jake, but not Jake. I just figured I would set the record straight for anybody who actually reads Joes repetitious misrepresentations.

I preferred him to Kerry but he allowed himself to be ruined by the Deaniac meme. I think Kerry needs a more positive campaign because this one trick pony (anti-Bush rants) is even lampooned in The Onion.
"Kerry Unveils One-Point Plan for Better America
WICHITA, KS-Delivering the central speech of his 10-day "Solution For America" bus campaign tour Monday, Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry outlined his one-point plan for a better America: the removal of George W. Bush from the White House."

Kerry's annoying. He speaks in bland generalizations. He's vastly unappealing to me. --- To unsubscribe from the Virus list go to <http://www.lucifer.com/cgi-bin/virus-l>
