So is anyone else out there playing City of Heroes/Villains? A friend gave me a free 10 day trial last night. I can already tell it's going to waste a LOT of my time. It's fun!

But while I've hooked up to play online vs. specific friends in the past. (The old Warcraft, Starcraft, etc.) I've never been part of a complete online world before. I have a friend who's tried to lure me into Dungeons & Dragons Online but, meh.

Next stop: World Of Warcraft I guess, heh.

....Im honestly confused at this.

I play WoW on the highest graphics/sound settings (its awesome), but CoH has, to me, the worse looking graphics and many more reused tiles then WoW, but I had to play it on the lowest settings and it still lagged like it was glued to something.

As you can guess I didn't enjoy it much, but I still play WoW.

It was also kinda odd, very hard to get into, not just because it took forever, but it was just...I dunno, I didn't like it xD

Fair enough Bass. I have extremely limited experience of what an online world may or can look like, so I don't mind this one. Now that you've mentioned it though I can totally see the repeating tiles and such. I haven't had the lag problems you mentioned. I've been playing on the "Victory" server and it hasn't slowed down that dramatically much; when sprinting holding the button down (or something) it can take a second to catch up but mostly it's been fine. The server crashed completely once and I worried I'd lose all my progress, but it rebooted (whatever) right back exactly where I was. My favorite part of any role-playing-ish game is character creation anyways, and COH is pretty cool for that!
