Hello all,

I'm sure you've seen a million of these posts, but it would seem rude to not introduce myself.

I remember visiting the CoV website months ago and taking interest in the concepts there. I'm not a scientific person by any means, nor a very spiritual one, so the concept of memetics is kind of a complex giant to me at the moment. I'm looking forward to diving into the subject headfirst!

I'm a young Canadian guy, into programming and web-design. I like to read, my favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk, (of "Fight Club" fame). I'm just looking to join an interesting community, as I'm a bit of a loner due to my distaste for mainstream culture/people.

So hello! I've got some reading to do, I'll try not to ask any silly questions right off the bat.

Welcome, falcox. You're not the only Palahniuk fan here. Which is your favourite book of his?

I found a copy of his short story Guts on the web after reading about how people would literally pass out at live readings. I can see why now.

Yeah that was a sick story. If you pick up his new book "Haunted",a collection of short stories, guts is the first of the bunch! There's even an introduction in the copy I have all about how that story made people ill.
