Definately need to have some more ideohazard. I'll help if i need to. My first week in this church has led me to the conclusion that its not active enough to keep peoples attention. There is a critical mass of activity that is required in order to increase activity and number of people interested. Perhaps i'll help you work on ideohazard.

I've just discovered something called an RSS feed which is probably very old news many here. Do we have such at Virus? Could we have one please?
I'm impressed with the concept of being updated when something is added to a web page. I've discovered that an RSS reader is a marvelous way to tie various strands of the web together and to stay up to date with them on a real time basis.
I found one that intergates with IE and also one that intergrates with Outlook at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_news_aggregators
Is it possible that this new (?) means of customising incoming data may help to propagate Virus and/or Ideohazard?
As I said I'm impressed with the technology. It seems to me that this is an important new phase in the blogging culture which has already set the mainstream coporoganda industry back on it's heels more than once. It looks to me suspiciously like the next big thing.
Or am I missing something ? Can one use the CSS language for this purpose? Or is that for something completely other?
I'm lost at sea here, I admit.

I think it would take a couple hours of custom programming to add an RSS feed to the this BBS. I'll start as soon as we raise $100 in donations.

I have e-mailed Pay-Pal with a view to enabling me to make this donation to Virus. (The difficulty is that the drop-down box for 'country' doesn't have South Africa in it.)
Apparently customer care will contact me within two to three days.
I recall making an attempt to rectify this problem before but to no avail. If and when it becomes possible I will be happy to make a donation of $100.00. I think an RSS feed would be a good vector for us.

We really should get the Ideohazard going again. I miss being an active part of this community, but honestly, there hasn't been much going on. What can we do to get the ball rolling again?

Sorry I have been without the internet for a couple of weeks due to lightning destroying all my electronics.  However I am back now. I'm looking for suggestions really. I have no problem helping the process of getting things going. I'm just looking for some outside input to aid me in formulating the means of getting things going.

I could program this though I think it would be best to target certain boards/Categories. Perhaps everything that's dumped into the mailing list should be its own feed. The wiki board would have its own feed. Everything else would be the CoV BBS feed.

CSS is completely different. I haven't yet seen an RSS feed with XLS(CSS). Nor do I see a reason for it.

2.0 seems to work great with Kontact (Akgrator) which is what I have been using until my comp broke down :-(
