Alright, I've been listening to some goth/industrial music and I've been really into it lately.  I was wondering if any of you could refer some good bands.  Perferably in either the goth, industrial, or electrocia genre.  I'm just trying to add some new music to my collection.  I'm sort of getting sick of the same 50 CDs all the time.

Currently I've been listening to a lot of:  The Cure, Ministry, and Nine Inch Nails.  Just trying to expand a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I've been listening to a lot of Vast (girlfriend gave them to me), Skinny Puppy (found them a few days ago), and some other random german techno.

I tend to like things a bit heavier though.  Vast is really awesome though... very atmospheric.  Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Hey!

You should check out Ministry pre-1998 and Front Line Assembly.  Pigface is pretty cool.
And, if you're looking for something a bit different then give a listen to MC 900 foot Jesus.
I'm not sure how easy the last 2 are to find, however.

I have a few ministry albums in my collection.  Filth Pig, and Psalm 69

Elven,

You should pick up Ministry's "Twitch", "The Land of Rape and Honey" and "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste" in that order.  In my humble opinion, Ministry lost a lot of it's raw punch after "A Mind...".  Alien Jourgensen went off into the deep end suffering from drug abuse around the mid 90s...his writing style and the music he wrote changed dramatically afterward.  Those early cds I mentioned were packed full of the hard industrial edge that helped Ministry bring industrial music to the masses.    And, if you can find it, then I'd also suggest buying Ministry's "In case you didn't feel like showing up" - it's a live set from their 89/90 tour.  One word - AWESOME!

Take it easy,
Casey

How could I forget FLA?! Check out mindphaser for info on all of Bill Leeb's side projects. Intermix, (old) Delerium, Noise Unit and especially Synaesthesia are among my faves.

There's a Church of Virus group been created, i'd be interested to listen to some other virians' music, i've also found it a good place to get into different types of music and expand my music listening horizons etc... If you do join be sure to add me username: photeki

Wow! I could go on forever (& ever!) A helpful resource for Goth//Industrial music could be Metropolis Records!

Easy to order and details//sound-bites on like a hundred bands.

On the Synth//Future-Pop side of things, I'd reccomend: VNV Nation, Assemblage 23, Covenant, NamNamBalu, Icon of Coil, And One, Wolfsheim.

For a touch harder (still electronic), distorted vocals but still pretty: Decoded Feedback, Informatik, and hey classic; Front 242.

For harsh, angry, stompy value (still no real guitars mind you!) Suicide Commando, Hocico, Grendel, Wumpscut, SITD.

Guitars? heheh. Not my thing. I just saw Ministry though, fun show!

Gothy? Hmm.  I can suggest Diary of Dreams, La Floa Maldita, Lycia, Hungry Lucy.

Oh, & Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds! (Not electronic BUT!)

& umm, Tom Waits.
Shut-up! He's my hero!

modified to add: The new Juno Reactor is A-MA-zing!

Earlier this week dANDROID introduced me to Yendri (also on Metropolis). Very cool.
