It doesn't bother me that the list is going away despite all of the great times that were had by one and all on the email list. I'll miss it to be sure. But, an RSS feed (as I know the site has) is so much easier to manage then having to read through one email after another (including the virus daily digest emails, too).
That being said, I know there's an RSS feed for this site, but why not make it easier to locate on the BBS homepage? Somewhere along the top or bottom of the page would be ideal - I had to hunt through the Announcement page on the BBS to find it.

There is a now an RSS link at the bottom right. And thanks to Tywick for the template header link code.
